Kick star BeckaTV sat down with banned Twitch streamer Sliker to talk about the true depths and consequences of gambling almost a year after it was revealed to fans.

In September 2022, the popular Twitch Sliker was accused of defrauding his fans of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Many viewers and fellow presenters came forward to say that they were approached by Sliker and asked for money so everyone would hear a different story about why they needed the money.

Sliker apologized shortly after, tearfully admitting that hed cheated many of his fans and creators out of money for his gambling addiction.

Sliker gained a following with his powerful streams but things took a turn for the worse after his gambling habit became known.

The incident sparked a backlash against Twitch for allowing gambling on its platform, with the site facing pressure from major developers like Pokimane to change its guidelines. While Twitch has also changed its gambling rules, Sliker’s anger remains.

It wasn’t long before Sliker’s contract with Twitch was canceled, and the subscribe button was removed from its channel. Later, it was completely banned after the viewer reported that it was stolen in January 2023.

Sliker seemed to go down for a while after his video was uploaded, but since then, he’s been quietly streaming on Kick.

Now, almost a year after gambling took over social media, Kick star BeckaTV got the chance to sit down with the broadcaster to discuss the consequences of her gambling addiction and her future plans.

Sliker says he gambled all the time, even at funerals

In their conversation, Sliker revealed the true depth of his gambling addiction. He said that he talks to everyone from top movie stars, viewers, even his own family, and lies about why he needs the money and where the money goes.

I was a gambling addict, he admitted. I cheated many people to increase my smoking, because every day I gambled a lot of money. I didn’t have money to gamble with my money, because Id already spent it. When I go to streamers, every audience I know. Id even ask xQc, Mizkif, anyone. My audience. Id ask my friends, my family.

Sometimes I cheated on my parents. My father knew that the money was gone, but I would lie and be like, “I have paid your taxes, and I will pay you back later.”

Sliker said that he gambled all the time when he was in the hospital, at gatherings, and even when he went to funerals.

It was amazing. What it will do for you is amazing, he explained. I have Bet 365 on the right and Id m******te watching p**n. weird, it would make me h***y, too.

I went to funerals, hospitals, all the time. 24/7. Sh*tting, hospital, shower. wherever you can think of. Name one place, I’m there. On the flight to America, there was Wi-Fi 3G, Im on it, bet on it.

Sliker reveals the effects of his gambling addiction on his mind

Sliker said his addiction had a devastating effect on his mind. According to the streamer, hed banged his head against a wall after losing a bet and has self-harming thoughts because of his constant urge to gamble.

I couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t help myself. I know I’m old, Im 28 and I know it sounds silly and stupid or whatever, but I just couldn’t help myself. I couldn’t. I wanted to do it. I had to do it, you know?

Once I would take it [out] money, I would cry, but once Id jump and play, the tears would be gone, and Im on it and Im happy, because my thoughts are more, Im gonna win. I’ll bet, and I’ll sit down, and I’ll enjoy myself.’

When the truth comes and I lose, I go to my bed and I kind of clench my fist, punch the pillow, and bang my head against the wall. At first, it wasn’t like that. Eventually, I’d go outside and be like, I want to disappear. I have suicidal thoughts. Many suicidal thoughts.

Sliker said that his gambling addiction dominated every moment of his life.

Sliker says his family no longer trusts him because of his gambling addiction. Instead, he says his name has been removed from his home, and he says his family even controls his bank card.

She stopped trusting him [in me], Sliker said of his father. The house will be under my name. He removed it. When he went outside, I heard him calling upstairs, I heard my father talking to my mother like, Make sure you hide your jewelry. since then, my sister started controlling my bank card.

Sliker wants to correct his mistakes

After his gambling habit became known, popular presenters xQc and Ludwig offered to pay Slikers’ victims a sum of money that was said to be around $300,000. However, Sliker says some of the victims have not received the money, and they want Sliker to pay for it himself. They also claim that the money they stole was actually more than $300k sent by xQc.

Although Sliker admitted that he thought about killing himself as a way to escape, he realized that this would not be fair to his tormentors, some of whom sold their belongings to make money and needed to make things right.

Sliker said his father’s trust in him was ruined by his gambling addiction.

When I started to work normally, I started to sit down and realize that, I could kill myself, he told us. But that is not what should have been important. Because the people I took from people sell their stuff to give me money. And he could have killed himself. they could have suffered three, four, or a hundred times more than I did.

Sliker says he still owes a few people, although most of his debts were cleared thanks to his own efforts and the help of others. In fact, Sliker says he has a document with a list of everyone he owes on his home PC, which he keeps.

Kick gives Sliker more freedom than Twitch after a permaban

After seeking help and working to pay off his debt, the singer now streams on Kick, where he feels he has more freedom than Twitch.

When I was a Twitch streamer, [it was like]I didn’t mean that, I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry, “he said, referring to the guidelines of Twitchs more strict than those on Kick. When you are on Kick, you should not be worried, because communities are a big thing on Kick.

Although he has issues with Twitch and claims that the platform shows bias, Sliker says he can’t blame Twitch, as the site helped launch his career.

Now, Sliker is looking forward to the future and wants to make amends with the people who wronged him before focusing on becoming a full-time IRL fan.

Obviously, with my life now, I want to correct my mistakes, he said. I know I can, because all I can think about is gambling. When I think about gambling, I just think, this is what happened to me.

When I was gathering on Twitch, I didn’t do the things I could have done. And of course, it comes down to me being without money, because [I was] spend everything on gambling and things. I wanted to volunteer myself as an IRL viewer. In the end, that’s what I want to see for myself.
